Conditions of entry
The Dresdner Kleinwort Frankfurt Marathon is organised in accordance with the regulations of the German Athletics Association and the IAAF, and is open to participants born in or before 1990. We point out that the conditions of participation are accepted by the participant by signing the entry form (see below).

Men/women (separate classification)
Age groups in accordance with German Athletics Federation rules
Team classification (male/female) for teams of three and of ten runners respectively

Registration
You can register by returning the completed registration form, signed by the participant, or via the internet by logging onto www.frankfurt-marathon.com. The signature of a legal guardian is required if an adolescents registers. In order to be registered for the team classification it is imperative that you fill out the “Teams” column.

Registration deadline/confirmation
Registration is only possible until 5th October 2008 (date of postage); after this date late registration is only possible at the Marathon Fair on 24th and 25th October. All participants who have registered by 5th October 2008 will receive confirmation of their registration. These will be sent out in mid-August and mid-October 2008. A list of participants will be posted on our website.

Organisation fee
The organisation fee depends on the date of entry. For more details, please have a look to the page about fees.
For those participants who have a German bank account, the easiest method of payment is by a one-off direct debit transaction. Participants living outside Germany can pay by credit card. Registrations submitted without proof of payment of the entry fee will not be considered. Bank transfers are possible only if the registration form is accompanied by a copy of the relevant bank slip. Bank account: motion events GmbH, Dresdner Bank Frankfurt, account no. 900333200, bank sort code 50080000. IBAN: DE15500800000900333200, SWIFT: DRESDEFF. Any costs incurred as a result of incorrect payment instructions will be charged to the participant. Any registered participant who does not take part in the race has no claim to a refund of the entry fee.

Timing
Timing is by use of the ChampionChip only. This can be purchased or rented from Mika Timing GmbH at the Marathon Fair for € 31,-. Should you rent the chip, the full amount is payable; on returning the chip on 26th October 2008 between 2 pm and 6 pm you will be refunded € 25,-. Should you keep the chip, you are assumed to have bought it and you can use it at any future races where timing is carried out by chip. Please attach the chip to the laces of your running shoe, otherwise it will not function and your time will not be registered. You cannot participate without a chip! The chip is not transferable.

Text service
We can text your unofficial time to your mobile phone free of charge. To take advantage of this service, please fill in your mobile phone number on the registration form and tick box A.
Do you want your split times as well? Then tick box B. This service costs € 3.00. If someone accompanying you also wishes to see just how you are getting on in the race we can text your split times and your finishing time to a second mobile phone. Please put down two mobile phone numbers on the registration form and tick box C. This service costs € 5.00.

ASICS souvenir T-shirt
When registering you can order an ASICS T-shirt for € 15.00 or an ASICS long-sleeve Shirt for € 30.00. This can be collected when you pick up your start number.

Medal engraving
In the finish area you can have your personal finisher’s medal engraved with your name and overall time; state-of-the-art technology means the engraving takes around two seconds at an additional cost of only € 8.00.

Marathon book
You can order the official marathon book of the 27. Dresdner Kleinwort Frankfurt Marathon 2008, an illustrated book, containing around 130 pages, for a price of € 25.00 (plus postage).

Services included in the fee
confirmation of registration by post, programme brochure, plan of the race course, shuttle service from parking garage to the marathon expo and start and finish area, ticket for the use of public transportation in Frankfurt on 26th October, pasta party (food and drinks), runner’s goody bag, race number displaying name and split times based on your personal anticipated finish time, finisher’s medal, provisional certificate, water stations along the course, shower and massage facilities, medical service, free use of the Rebstockbad swimming-pool, finisher’s list plus CD and certificate by post and much more…

Conditions of entry
The organiser or his representative and other authorised persons cannot be held responsible for any form of damage or injury incurred as a result of participation in the Dresdner Kleinwort Frankfurt Marathon and accompanying events, except in the case of the latter having caused these intentionally or as a result of grave negligence. This also applies to sponsors and the owners of private paths and their representatives. This exemption from liability also applies to accompanying persons.
I herewith declare that I am in a fit state of health and have trained to a sufficient standard. I agree to being withdrawn from the race should I be in danger of damaging my health. I agree to data on the registration form relating to myself being passed on to third parties (Mika Timing cause timing, German Red Cross cause assistance, Caritasverband Frankfurt cause bounty and charity, marathon-photos.com cause pictures, runnerstv cause livestreaming), and any photographs, film material and radio and TV interviews that are made in conjunction with the Dresdner Kleinwort Frankfurt Marathon including those in advertising, books and photographic reproductions being passed and used without any claim to compensation on my part.
I confirm that the data I provided is correct, and that I will pass neither race number nor ChampionChip to another person. I am aware that altering the official race number in any way, in particular making the advertising illegible or unrecognisable and being accompanied by persons on sports equipment such as inline skates, bicycles etc.) will lead to disqualification. Should I fail to participate or should the event not take place as a result of a force majeure I am not entitled to reimbursement of the entry fee. The agreement shall be governed by the law of Germany. Location of any legal proceedings: Frankfurt am Main (Note: in accordance with data protection laws your data will be stored on computers).
