Applicability<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.1\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The following participation conditions apply for all races within the framework of the Frankfurt Marathon, in particular the Frankfurt Marathon, the Relay Marathon, Mini-Marathon as well as the Children\u2019s Race (referred to henceforth singly as either \u201cEvent\u201d or together as \u201cEvents.\u201d The version valid at the time the contract is concluded (Contract Completion) shall apply in all consequent transactions.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

1.2\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Organizer of the events is motion events GmbH, Sonnemannstra\u00dfe 5, 60314 Frankfurt am Main (in reference to: we, us or organizer).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

1.3\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 For all orders in our web shop, are our general transaction condition valid \u2013 you can visit our shop at www.frankfurt-marathon.com\/agb<\/a>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

2. Registration and participation fees<\/strong><\/p>\n

2.1\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The registration of the events is possible up to 7 days before the event as an online-registration over our website. \u00a0Registration in other forms such as (fax, e-mail) will only be processed on an exception basis after coordinating this with the organizer. Before sending out your data the participant can check their information, so that it is failure-free. \u00a0The registration is in German, English and French languages possible.<\/p>\n

The contract confirmation is confirmed through the booking confirmation sent via e-mail from the organizer. \u00a0With the booking confirmation, you will we receive the contract details with the information you provided us during the registration process.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

2.2\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Before the event the participant will receive a starting licence with all the relevant information about the event. The delivery of this starting licence for the Frankfurt Marathon will arrive independently of the receipt of the registration in mid-October by email. The starting licence for the Relay Marathon will also be sent to participants in mid-October. All participants who register for the Frankfurt Marathon and Relay Marathon after this delivery date will automatically receive the starting licence via email after their registration. No starting licences will be despatched for the Mini-Marathon or Children\u2019s Race.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

2.3\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 In the event of a group registration, the applicant guarantees that the registration of all group members is authorized and that all declarations may be submitted for you. The applicant will inform all group members about the conditions of participation as well as the privacy policy.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

2.4\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Registrations will not be processed for underage\/minors. \u00a0Registrations can only be processed through their parents or guardians.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

2.5\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The payment of the participation fees as well as the extra options (ChampionChip, medallion engraving, SMS-Service or a sports shirt) can be either through bank transfer or credit card.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

2.6\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 If the maximal number of participants is not reach, a person can register in person on the 2 days before the event by the organizer and pay with cash. Late entries for the Children\u2019s Race can be made on Friday and Saturday morning of the event weekend.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

2.7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A withdrawal from the Frankfurt Marathon is possible only on health grounds. \u00a0In this case the participant will receive a voucher code for next year\u2019s event once the relevant conditions have been checked. The voucher code cannot be transferred to other people, competitions or event years. \u00a0A handling fee of 20,00 Euro will be deducted for the following year. This possibility does not apply to either the Children\u2019s Race or Mini-Marathon.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

2.8\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It is possible to transfer the registration to a third party but only online and up to three weeks before the event and with payment of a handling fee of 20,00 Euro. The cost of the handling fee is borne by the replacement runner. Any additional services booked by the originally registered participant cannot be transferred to the new registration.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

2.9\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Those registered for the event who do not seek to abide by the contractual conditions concerning participation (For example, by cancellation or informing of their resignation) or cancel their participation or fail to take up their starting licence \u2013 without cancelling (No Show) will be considered by this declaration or action to have irrevocably given up their starting licence and participation in the sports event. If participants declare that they do not wish to line up at or start the event, they are not entitled to any repayment of participation costs and fees for extra services. The same applies to the exclusion or disqualification of a participant. (See 7. Right of Cancellation) \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

2.10\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 In the case of force majeure or because of official instructions or for security reasons the event organizer is required to carry out changes in respect of the events\u2019 procedure, cancelling them in part or entirely or undertake measures which make the implementation of the events possible<\/span>. The participant agrees to these measures. In these cases there is no obligation to pay compensation to the participants and there is no entitlement to reimbursement of the paid participation fee. The organizer may also withdraw starting rights, exclude individual or all participants from the events and \/ or withdraw from the contract. The participants concerned will be informed immediately about a (partial) rejection. If the events have already started and have to be canceled for the reasons mentioned above, the participants are not entitled to reimbursement of the participation fee paid.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

2.11\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 In the case of the event being cancelled because of a pandemic (For example, Covid-19), the participant will receive a voucher for the amount of the registration fee minus the work carried out by the organizer in respect of processing the participation fee (this will be a minimum of 20 EUR in the case of each participant); whereby the participant has the right to claim a lower pro rata reduction. This voucher can be used by the participant at an event in one of the following three years after the year they have withdrawn. In the case of the Mini-Marathon the entry fee will be refunded.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

3. Participation allowance and competition rules<\/strong><\/p>\n

3.1\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Participants allowed are every registered running, who meets the participation requirements such as for example the age requirements.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

3.2\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The participants understand the international competitions rules of the (IWR) the IAAF as well as the DLV, especially the Anti-Doping policies.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

3.3\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The participant ensures the organizer that he or she participates if they are healthy and have the adequate training to participate.\u00a0 In the event that a participant jeopardizes his or her health during the event, they will be removed from the run and be removed from the event completely.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

3.4\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Each participant receives their start number on site upon presentation of their starting licence. If they are unable to present their starting licence, the start number will still be handed over if they can present their passport. Should the participant be unable to collect their start number in person, whoever is collecting it on their behalf must present the participant\u2019s starting licence and written confirmation from the participant, empowering them to do so on their behalf.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

3.5\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The official start number must by position as stated in the international competition rules on the breast and may not be altered in any form.\u00a0 In addition, the printed advertisements on the start number may not be unreadable and must always remain visible.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

3.6\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Every participant in the Marathon and Mini-Marathon has to wear a ChampionChip which is to be fastened to the laces of their running shoes. The partipant\u2019s time will only be measured according to when they cross the start and finish lines as well as the control mats on the course. The participant in the Relay Marathon receives a ChampionChip which is to be fastened to a Velcro strip. This is to be worn around the ankle during the race and to be handed over to the next runner at the relay exchange points.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

3.7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Also, a part of the international competition rules, it is forbidden to leave the course or take shortcuts, or receive help from a non-participant (with a bicycle, inline-skates), being accompanied by a non-participant or using any other form of help. \u00a0Additionally, the international anti-doping rules apply for all participants.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

3.8\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The instructions of the organizer as well as medical personnel is to be followed at all times.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

3.9\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The organizer is both entitled and required in proven exceptional circumstances to postpone, either timewise or in terms of venue, cut short, either completely or in certain sections, break off permanently or temporarily, close down in part or cancel. A proven exceptional circumstance, which would justify such a measure, would come into force if sufficient actual indications arise which could lead the planned execution or continuation of the event to an actual danger to life and limb or the loss of material of value. Participants will be informed in advance \u2013 as far as possible \u2013 by email and on the event website.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

4. Results and Disqualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n

4.1\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Every participant, who goes against the international competition rules or the rules of participation and\/or does not adhere to the instructions of the organizer, will be removed from the event and disqualified. \u00a0A removal from the event and\/or a disqualification may occur for the following reasons:<\/p>\n
