Year for year, this is the meeting place, with the Mainova Frankfurt Marathon: We asked members of the marathon clubs, what their motivation was to take part in the 36th<\/sup> edition of the marathon.<\/p>\n

Sabine and Marion M\u00f6hle from Darmstadt: \u201cEvery step of the way together \u2013 sister power by the Mainova Frankfurt Marathon\u201d.\u00a0 Sabine is running in 2017 for the 11th<\/sup> time and this time with the eternal start number F400, together with her sister Marion (F165) who is running here 17th<\/sup> time.\u00a0 Kalli Flach with the start number 155, starter \u201cLegend\u201d from Hanau-Rodenbach with 33 finishes in Frankfurt.\u00a0 Hi saying for this year is simple: \u201cChip on foot, number on the breast and the kilometer are longer and longer, but soon we are finished\u201d.\u00a0 Andreas L\u00f6we (668) right before his 50th<\/sup> Marathon: \u201cI was born in the birthplace of the marathon in Frankfurt-H\u00f6chst, I was standing at the start when I was a kid and in the finisher area and then I became infected from running.\u00a0 Since, 1989 I always try to be a part of the Mainova Frankfurt Marathon if I am healthy enough.\u00a0 The beautiful and fast course motivates me, again this year to run it my 23rd<\/sup> time\u201d. Peter Unger (313) from Kriftel: \u201cFrankfurt Marathon, what else! Enjoyment with passion and this again and again. Super course, super crowd, perfect organization and after 42,195 km unfortunately it\u2019s all over\u201d.\u00a0 Peter Schmit (151) with his saga-like 33 finishes in Frankfurt: \u201cI used to run in my competitions times, 2 to 3 marathon a year, today only the marathon that\u2019s in front of my house door in Frankfurt.\u00a0 I can easily get there with the public transportation and for its size, it\u2019s perfectly organized.\u00a0 It is such a great feeling to finish by running over the red carpet.\u00a0 This year\u2019s event is my biggest motivator for my running training.\u00a0 It keeps me fit and healthy.\u00a0 A big compliment goes out from myself to the organization team.\u00a0 You\u2019re doing a great job.\u201d<\/p>\n

Members of the marathon club are those that finished it at least 10 times.\u00a0 For the proof, please send the certificates, copies are enough \u2013 you will receive a high-quality polo shirt with your personalized start number embroidered on it.\u00a0 And on the marathon weekend, there is a stand from the club (convention center hall 1, 2nd<\/sup> floor) 2 coupons for coffee and cake as well as the start documents and your starter bag.\u00a0 The membership is free of cost and there is no obligation.<\/p>\n

The Frankfurt Marathon Club was started in 2006, in honor of those loyal runners who comeback year after year as a thank you.\u00a0 Meanwhile, the club has over 850 members.\u00a0 All of the finishers with 20=bronze, 25=silver, and 30=gold participations will be rewarded with a new polo shirt with a colorful embroidery.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
