Dear runners,
in the past few days we have had some inquiries whether the 39th edition of the Mainova Frankfurt Marathon can take place on October 25, 2020 as planned due to the current corona pandemic. We plan with it and will continue to work in full. We are optimistic that the corona virus can now be contained with the courageous protective measures and solidarity that are now in place. The experts predict that the peak of corona diseases will be reached in May. Then there are still five months until our event day. A sufficiently long time to gradually remove the protective measures and finally to allow events of our size again. The fact that some spring marathons, in coordination with the licensing authorities, did not cancel their races, but instead postponed them to September / October, confirms this assumption.
Now, however, it is important that we also live up to our responsibility to contain the Corona virus as much as possible. That is why we are switching our office operations to home office. Answering inquiries can therefore be delayed somewhat. There may also be delays in the delivery of shop orders.
We will inform you promptly and proactively when there are news in the plans for the 39. Mainova Frankfurt Marathon 2020.
