The first two conquerors of the fascinating new sports series are decided. For just over a year, this unique endurance sports series, which combines cross-country skiing, cycling, swimming and running. Those who successfully complete the King Ludwig run in Oberammergau, the Unterbacher Sea swim in Dusseldorf, the Mecklenburg Lakes and the Mainova Frankfurt Marathon receive the “classic diploma”, the “classic medal” as well as an entry in the Hall of Fame.
At the oldest German city marathon, the first two conquerors of the “toughest endurance sports series in Germany” were decided. Both have fought through the four different disciplines over the past 12 months.
It is the former Judoka Arthur Hass and the initiator of the German Classic, Prof. Dr. med. Jens Böcker from Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences. Jens has already motivated many of his students to participate in the German Classic. And this because the sports-enthusiastic economist once mastered the very popular “Swedish Classic”, which serves as an example for the German counterpart, he is now the owner of both diplomas. For the final test in Frankfurt Jens needed 4:02:49 sec. “A wonderful experience”, says the lecturer. Arthur made it into the Convention Center after 5:08:11 exuberated. “It was the hardest sports challenge of my life that pushed me to my limits”, he said. As an athlete, that isn’t from the conditioning sport, he proved that he can do this series and that it is possible. Athletes can join in anytime by the German Classic. If you start in the new year with the cross-country skiing in Oberrammergau, you can finish it up on the 28th of October, 2018 by the Mainova Frankfurt Marathon and receive your reward in the Convention Center once you cross the finish line.
4 Sport Disciplines – 1 Challenge
The German Classic is an endurance series, that connects cross-country skiing, bicycling, swimming and running with each other. Its about completing the 4 sport disciplines within a 12-month time span – the start of the series is also by the Mainova Frankfurt Marathon possible. The other 3 competitions are the King Ludwig Run in Oberrammgau, the Unterbacher-Sea Swim in Düsseldorf and the Mecklenburger Sea Round.
