Frankfurt – fast marathon with a high percent of women participants

In Manfred Steffny’s top list of German marathons in 2017 (Running Magazine Spiridon), he ranked the Mainova Frankfurt Marathon 2nd with a total grade of 25.9 points. With the positive trend of female participants rose to 21.3 percent. Even through the stormy weather, 11,141 marathon participants were able to cross the finish line in the Main-metropolitan. The fastest woman was Vivian Cheruiyot from Kenya 2:23:35 hours and the men’s group was Shura Kitata from Ethiopia crossing after 2:05:50 hours.
